As a Florida native, Dr. Patel completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Florida. He then moved to the nation’s capital, Washington DC, to complete his dental education at Howard University’s College of Dentistry. Here, he served as Student Council Vice President and was recognized for demonstrating strong traits in leadership, serving the underserved, demonstrating values of integrity, leadership, and service. He also received an award for demonstrating greatest commitment and interest in temporomandibular disorders and orofacial pain. After graduating in 2015, he furthered his knowledge and training at NYC Health + Hospitals/Woodhull, where he remained for the next five years to specialize in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He has received comprehensive training in dentoalveolar surgery, dental implant surgery, facial trauma, maxillofacial pathology, TMJ surgery, cosmetic surgery, and orthognathic surgery.
